Our Rising Starlet

Before
When “Our Rising Starlet” — came to her very first Kindred Flight session, I thought we’d start slow, introducing just a few aerial hammock positions. After all, we had six weeks planned to gradually layer in movements.

During
But to my surprise, she tried every single one in that first session. 🎉 It was the kind of rapid engagement I’d expect in an adult-level Intro to Hammock class, not from a child’s very first day. I actually had to throttle it back because we’d covered so much new material in just one session!

So instead of pushing forward, I gave her extra free play time to explore on her own. That’s when I noticed something: Our Rising Starlet wasn’t just curious, she was dancing. She lit up with the music, moved with rhythm, and carried herself like she already belonged in the hammock.

The Win
Her joy was unmistakable. Her learning was fast. And her love of music made every swing, spin, and stretch feel like choreography. It made me realize something: maybe she isn’t just ready to explore hammock movements — maybe she’s ready to learn her very own mini aerial hammock routine.

Our Rising Starlet may only be at the beginning of her journey, but she’s already showing us how quickly potential shines when given the chance.
