Frequently asked questions.
For Parents & Families
-
Our classes are designed for neurodivergent children and youth, including those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other unique learning profiles. We currently welcome ages 4–17, with age-specific sessions coming soon.
-
No official diagnosis is required. If your child thrives in small, supportive environments with patient instructors, they’re welcome here.
-
Our core 1:1 sessions are free, thanks to generous donors and grant support. These have limited spots and often a waitlist. We also offer a paid session option with expanded availability and no waitlist. These sessions are priced to reflect the real cost of offering safe, sensory-informed movement with skilled instructors.
-
We currently teach in a variety of Las Vegas partner locations and outdoor settings using a portable aerial rig. We’ll send address and safety info after registration. Our long-term goal is a permanent home.
-
Comfortable, form-fitting clothing (like leggings and a T-shirt) works best. No zippers, jewelry, or loose clothing for safety. We’ll send a welcome email with tips before your first class.
-
Absolutely. No experience is required, and we gently introduce aerial movement through play and exploration. Our instructors are trained to adapt to each child’s comfort and pace.
-
Yes. For many children, having a trusted adult nearby helps them feel safe. We may also offer parent-participation or caregiver-supported options, like our Mini & Me series for children under 4.
-
We use professional aerial equipment and crash-rated safety mats, and all instructors complete Kindred Flight’s in-house training program, which includes modules on adaptive aerial safety, spotting, and trauma-informed instruction. Our class sizes are kept intentionally small to allow for individualized support. While we are not a clinical program, we collaborate closely with professionals in behavioral and mental health to ensure our environment is safe, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of neurodivergent youth.
-
Each 30-minute 1:1 session is child-led and sensory-informed. We start with a soft welcome and check-in, explore movement through swings, games, and hammocks, and end with a calm-down storytime (yes, with sensory toys!).
Class Options & Waitlist
-
We currently offer one-on-one aerial sessions designed specifically for neurodivergent children and youth. These sessions are tailored to each child’s needs and sensory preferences, with a focus on safety, connection, and joyful movement.
-
Our free sessions are offered as part of a 6-week one-on-one series, with each session lasting 30 minutes. These are completely donor-funded and take place once a week. Availability depends on venue space, instructor scheduling, and current funding. If you’d like to request a spot, you can join the waitlist on our website.
-
Yes! A sibling can join the same 30-minute slot. Depending on funding, we may ask for a small fee to cover a second instructor so both children are supported safely. You’ll be notified in advance if this applies to your family.
-
Yes. We offer a limited number of paid 1:1 sessions with more flexible scheduling and no waitlist. These sessions are priced to reflect the real cost of delivering safe, sensory-informed programming — including instructors trained in:
- Trauma-informed instruction
- Sensory-aware teaching
- Neurodiversity-affirming practices
- Adaptive aerial safety and spotting
- Consent and boundaries in movement spaces
- Responsive lesson planning for mixed abilities
- Strengths-based and identity-informed practices
100% of proceeds directly fund free sessions for other families. Choosing this option helps your child and someone else’s.
-
Both free and paid 1:1 sessions offer the same child-led, sensory-informed experience. The key difference is access:
- Free sessions are available to neurodivergent youth ages 4–17 through our waitlist, based on available funding.
- Paid sessions can be booked right away, have more flexible availability, and directly fund additional free classes for others.
All instructors complete a 17-module Kindred training that includes trauma-informed practices, adaptive aerial safety, and strengths-based teaching.
-
We welcome all children, regardless of diagnosis. Our sessions are designed with co-regulation and connection in mind. Whether your child is neurodivergent or neurotypical, we meet each child with the same level of care, flexibility, and joy. However, please note that our free sessions prioritize neurodivergent youth as part of our mission to increase access for underserved populations.
-
Our free 1:1 sessions are available for youth ages 4 to 17, with some flexibility based on developmental needs. We also offer Mini & Me sessions for children under 4, designed as a playful, parent-participation program — check our website for current availability.
